Meet the Mason Family (l-r) Brandon, Christine, Greg and Tyler.  The Mason family has been chosen as the Habitat family for the three-bedroom home being built on 4 Glove Street in Ashland.  Greg has been an employee of Ashland Lumber for the past eight years and the Masons have been very busy putting in their "sweat equity" hours on the build.  Volunteers are needed to help build the home for this deserving family.  Normal build days are Friday and Saturday, from 8:30 until 3:30.  This weekend, we will be building on Saturday and Sunday.  Call 536-1333 or email brian-mccarthy@pemivallhabitat.org if you would like to pitch in.  No construction skills or previous experience in construction are necessary!

Raising the Roof!

Build Schedule Announced

The rafters for the roof on the Mason home in Ashland went up last weekend.  Volunteers are needed to help complete this build.  This coming weekend, we will be building on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22 and 23.  After this coming weekend, we will return to the normal build schedule of Friday and Saturday, beginning Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29.  We typically build between 8:30 and 3:30 each scheduled day.  Again, please let us know if you'll be able to help out.  Call 536-1333 or email brian-mccarthy@pemivalleyhabitat.org.   You can also learn more here.

Brand New Faucets Available

The Pemi-Valley Habitat ReStore recently received a donation of brand new faucets.  The faucets are mostly Delta faucets with a few Price Pfister faucets.  We have kitchen and bathroom faucets, including some for the bath tub/shower.  These brand new faucets, donated by Lowes in Gilford and Tilton, are all priced at half off the most recent sale price.  You can't beat this deal and they are available while supplies last.

Brand New French Door

Our Thanks once again to Lowes of Gilford for the donation of a beautiful, brand new French Door.  This door sold for more than $1,100 and is on sale at the ReStore for less than half that price, at just $500...first come, first serve.  There is only the one door like this, although we do have a very nice French Door, used, but in great condition with the frame.  We also have a new picture window for $500.  Come and check these out while they last.  We also have an electric stove and are expecting to receive a side-by-side refrigerator and much more in the days ahead.

New Handicap Ramp and Door Ready

Thanks to the local organization "Using Our Tools" the new handicap ramp and loading dock are now ready for use at the Pemi-Valley Habitat ReStore.  John, Chris and the rest of the crew have done a superb job on this phase of the project and we were able to use a door, donated by Lowes of Concord.  There is a bit of work yet to be done.  The group will be adding a roof above the loading dock and a light will be installed and the finish work will be completed.  But, in the meantime, the new dock and ramp are ready to use.  We sincerely appreciate the volunteer efforts and hope you'll stop by to see all the work that has been done at the ReStore and check out all the items for your home project.  "Using Our Tools" performs four season property maintenance in the

Lakes Region.  To learn more, call 536-5762.
